Being impatient, I decided to try a manual download and install of Windows However I forgot to set the computer to stay awake, and the next morning it was asleep and the download progress box had disappeared. I tried running the MediaCreationTool again, but got a dialogue box saying ‘Setup couldn’t start properly.

I tried renaming it but was informed that this wasn’t possible because the file was in use. It contains a subfolder called ‘Sources’ which contains a 2. I assume that this is an incomplete download. I’m using Microsoft Edge. I tried again yesterday evening; the broadband stayed up and a four-hour download completed successfully.
